WHAT TO SEE AND VISIT IN AIGUINES

The church of the Village with its carved wooden Christ.

  The Chapelle Saint-Pierre and the orientation table wich allows to see the Plateau de Valensole up to the Mont Ventoux and the Lure Mountain.

The streets of the Village and its central square wich was entirely rebuilt in 1999.

  The Craftsmen and Producers of the village : wood, pottery,
home-made tinned food, leather work.

The Festival of Saint Pierre on the first Sunday in August.

  The Corniche Sublime, left side of the Gorges du Verdon, from the Col d'Illoire to the Pont de l'Artuby.

Here is the Verdon coming out of the Gorges du Verdon into the lake of Sainte-Croix and allowing boats to sail about two kilometers on the river.

Beaches of the lake of Sainte-Croix :
  • The Galetas beach is watched in July and August.
  • The beach at Chabassolle.

The Imbut path :
  Pedestrian walk from the Cavaliers to the Imbut. About 4 hours walk; plan to go with very good sport shoes and some water in reserve.

The discovery of the Grand Marges :
  Pedestrian walk from the village; about 5 hours walk.

 

Camping not on a campsite is strictly prohibited.
